There are so many people that were touched by this tragedy. Latham
was a beautiful young man, and for that, may we all be grateful
to have known him.
I want to say how much the support Carlin and I have recieved
has meant to us, though I can only speak for myself, and sometimes
the emotions run much deeper than words. I'll start at the beginning;
Thank you to the fireman....
.....that answered the call that early July morning. I know you
tried your best. You perform a service to our community on a daily
basis that transparently improves the quality of our lives, you
don't get enough credit. Your efforts helped save Rigel's life,
and for that I can never say enough. Your continued efforts to
help Rigel and I understand the fire, as well as your recognition
of Rigel's heroic valor, and true love of his brother, helped
give meaning to the pain.
Thank you to Andrew and Katie...
...Stone, who were there, caring for Latham's Spirit, and watching
over us with Loving Support, from the beginning. Your Love and
strength helped me see the Joy that Rigel is alive. Your support,
along with Jane and Patrick Markwith, allowed me the strength within myself to pull for Ri and grieve
for Latham, at the same time. I truly can not imagine being here
now with any of the fortitude and spirit, I do feel, without your
help. May you both travel enlightened paths, holding hands.
Thank you to Javed...
... for answering your mother's call and rescueing me from the
authorites at the Gathering. A terrible chore to have to tell
a parent that his son has died, you performed a great service
for me.
Thank you to Carlin...
... my loving friend and partner, thank you for loving Latham,
and Rigel. Your knowledge and guidance are invaluable to me. I
wish there was some way I could take away your pain. You care
so much and so deeply; Let it be Joy and gladness in the fantastic
reality we inhabit, it all is growth, and that is what Life's
about.
...The benefit you guys organized raised over $2,000 and it was
the first time we could share with our friends our very deep feelings.
Saha World Telegraph, Animal Opera, all the musicians in Albuquerque
that raise my spirit as I twirl on the floor. Thank you James Whiton, for giving Latham the gift of music. You are truly a good teacher
and friend.
Thanks to All...
... of my very good and dear friends. Chris Ribaudo, Tom Salazar,
Tony Conforti and others that I have known for so long, your caring
and loving time helps me so much. I pray I do as much for each
of you. James Whiton, , James Shore, Ari Maslow, all the friends from Cafe Loco, and
the UNM community in general, allowed us the time to start to
recover from this tragedy. Thank you to Jamie Silva and the great
staff at U.N.M.H. Burn and Trauma. Thanks to all the folks that
donated to the Benefit Fund. The close to $2,000 helped immensly
with the day to day living. Thank you to Ballut Abyad Shrine Temple
and the Shrine Hospital for helping me care for Rigel, and taking
care of him throughout his recovery. Thanks to the Rainbow Family
brothers and sisters that have checked up on us and shared words
of love and wisdom. There are many more I know I am not including;
John, Debbie, Emily, Kevin, Paul, .... I thank you all for showing
me that you care.
May Love be the light that guides us--
if there is anything I can do .......-*
